Sukdeo Chartered Accountants Incorporated was Established by Ravind with the intention of providing focused C- suite level Finance Executive support for companies in the private and public sector.
Ravind is an accomplished Business Executive with over three decades of Senior Financial Executive experiencein large divisions of JSE Listed Companies. He has hadsubstancial exposure in Manufacturing (Motor Industry) and Service Industries (Ports and Logistics) and more recently consulting in Financial Management Turnaround, and Business Rescue.
He has served as a Finance Director of a Major Division of a JSE TOP 40 listed company for almost two decades.
𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔:
He is an accounting honours graduate of the University of KwaZulu Natal, a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA), Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a Licensed Business Rescue and Tax Practitioner. He completed an Advanced course in Business Rescue run in conjunction by UNISA and the Law Society.
He is also an accredited Assessor appointed by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants being responsible for the development of future Chartered Accountants.
𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏:
He is currently the Managing Director of Sukdeo Chartered Accountants Incorporated.
𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒓:
Early in his career, Ravind specialised in Financial Management Investigations, Cost Restructuring, Systems and Management reporting both in Manufacturing and Service Industries. He is accomplished in Capital Appraisals, Target Setting, Forecasting and Providing Turnaround Solutions.
He developed a special interest in Root Cause Analysis and Scenario Planning.
𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒓:
In the last two decades Ravind was appointed to the Boards of several Subsidiary Companies of a JSE Listed Top 40 Company, both in Executive and non- Executive Capacities.
He has served in Audit Committees and also served as a Chairman of the Audit Committee of one Subsidiary and has been involved in many Amalgamations of Acquisitions into existing Business Divisions.
He played a key role in the successful Amalgamation of two Divisions in the Ports Industry of a large JSE Listed Company. He was very involved in the Acquisition negotiations of a Shipping Agency Company and subsequent successful merger of the company into the Listed Group.
He is accomplished in Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Valuations.
𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝑩𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆:
Ravind has also had substantial International Exposure in Turnaround, Mergers and Acquisitions. In early 2000 he was seconded to a Subsidiary Division (Shipping Line) in the UK to assist in the turnaround of that Company. He was also part of a three-man Acquisition Team that was sent to East Africa (Kenya) to do a preliminary due diligence on an Acquisition Target and Formulate Merger and Acquisitions Scenarios. He spend a fair amount of time in supporting a Manufacturing Subsidiary in Swaziland. He also spent a substantial amount of time preparing a Feasibility for the Development of Subsequent Implementation of a landslide Port Operation in the Ports of Maputo and Matola in Mozambique.
𝑩𝑩𝑩𝑬𝑬 𝑺𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒑:
On the BBBEE aspect, he was Instrumental , as part of a Director’s Committee in conceptualising an Empowerment Company, took part in the necessary negotiations and lead the setup and support of the new Empowerment Company successfully.
This Empowerment Company is stillflourising today!!
